T-Shirts & Polos
The T-shirt is not the most exciting garment in a man’s wardrobe but one can claim the T-shirt to be the most versatile. Being a crisp staple in it’s most common shade, white, the T-shirt has evolved from being a hidden piece of underwear into becoming a potent canvas for branding, art or even political messages. Now a good looking T-shirt is even an option for smart tuxedo dressing.
A more formal alternative to the classic T-shirt is the polo shirt, or the piqué polo shirt. Origin from the famous tennis player René Lacoste it was later adopted by polo players, giving it its name. The lightweight, breathable cotton structure known as jersey petit piqué and the characteristic collar together with the three-button placket soon became an icon in menswear.
